While my brother anxiously hits refresh on the UPS tracking site, he's come to the conclusion that since it has been over 24 hours since his (and my) package checked in, they must be driving the new phones instead of flying. Makes sense when you look at the math.
It has been widely reported that Apple sold over two million iPhone 5 devices in the first 24 hours of the pre-order. My package, according to UPS weighs 0.4kg, or approximately 0.881 pounds.
That's 1,763,698 pounds of already-paid-for iPhones that hit Anchorage earlier this week.
